Mark Throckmorton is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. Mark has twenty years experience in pastoral counseling and work with men to stop their abuse of loved ones, as well as five years helping clients’ recovery from trauma and from substance abuse. He brings experience from residential and public counseling settings, including children that have had difficulty staying in school.
Mark received his MS in Counseling from NSU in 2014. Music and cooking are his passionate hobbies, having been a guitarist for 50 years and a chef in several restaurants. “Music and eating together bring us together,” he says. “They are the earliest forms of therapy.” He is excited to bring his varied experience and training to Bartlesville and Samaritan.
